Stay away from them

I purchased a hot tub from them less than a year ago. I was considering a few dealers and ended up with American Sales because the salesman told me that they have the whole service team supporting their products. If anything goes wrong within the warranty period of 2 years, everything will be covered. Of course their tub is more expensive than their rivals, but I was sold by the fact that they provide their service team to provide the service for warranty stuff.

About 10 months after owning the tub, one of the two pumps stopped running. I called them and they set up an appointment to come look at the tub. Boom, they told me I need to pay $69 just for them to come look at the tub, even if it's still under warranty. Having no choice, I agreed to it. They told me this fees is written in the service agreement, but the salesperson never mentioned it to me at all. That's fine, I have no choice, I want my tub to be functional again.

Today when I saw my credit card statement, another bigger BOOM! They charged me $169 instead of the $69. I contacted them and they told me that it's for the labor cost for one hour which is $100. What kind of labor cost $100/hour? And they told me it's a blown fuse. It took him one hour to replace a blown fuse? $169 total to replace a blown fuse when my tub is under warranty? It would have been cheaper to get a local tub person to fix it than going through to so called "warranty" by american sales! Worst of all, they just charge me the $100 without asking if I want to get it fixed. They just did it and charged me. It's absolutely ridiculous.

If you are thinking about buying something from them, my only advice is STAY AWAY!!!
